What can we see at a power plant?

I read a small passage yesterday. A small kid asked his dad, “Daddy, how can I believe in the Holy Spirit when I have never seen Him?” The father took him to a power plant and showed him the generators. “We can’t see the power, but it’s in that machine and in the power lines”, said the father. “My son, do you believe in electricity?” the father asked. “Yes, I believe in electricity”, said the kid. “Of course, you do….Likewise, you can believe in the Holy Spirit not because you see Him, but you see what He does in people’s lives when they are surrendered to Christ and possess His power.”

 PowerPlant

What the small kid asked is a very valid question. In life, many people will ask, how can I experience the Holy Spirit in my life? It may sound hard but it’s also simple at the same time. We do experience the Holy Spirit but we don’t realize it. We always expect the Holy Spirit to give us an answer on which job to take or which college to go to or on a big decision. But like my situation at the junction, it is also the Holy Spirit at work. There’s no doubt about it coz if it is not the Holy Spirit, my flesh would have told me to go home instead.
